general description
A Bioblend BT25I HH is a biopolymer compound developed for applications with improved impact requirements. The grade is enhanced with a blend of natural mineral fillers.
Bioblend BT25I HH grades are designed to be completely biodegradable & compostable (microbial and enzymatic degradation) in the targeted disposal environment; Bioblend BT HH grades are biodegradable in controlled conditions (e.g., in industrial compost factilities or in home-composting) The grade offers a significant reduction in carbon footprint compared to traditional fossil-based plastics.
Bioblend BT grades are used for general purpose injection moulding applications (e.g., packaging, like food packaging; kitchenware, like food containers; bathroom utilities, like tooth brushes; electronic utilities, like housings; etc.). They exhibit medium strength and stiffness properties; the material is soft and flexible with good impact properties. The grade offers a good processability and flow with an easy ejection of parts from the mould. Cycle times can be kept short.
Bioblend BT25I HH grades are naturally high-heat stable up to 80°C (without annealing processes).
